melasma of estrogen pills?
i started taking Premarin for about 18 months and have developled dark spots on both sides of my neck (actually it looks almost like dirt) ... embarrassing .. is called melasma. Has anyone else had this and if so, are cutting aid to the dosage of these go away or is this permanent? (I've already paid $ 1,800 to a dermatologist for "laser" in the trash). did not work. HE ALWAYS USED 50 + sunscreen.
Melasma is an acquired hypermelanosis exposed areas the sun. It presents as symmetric hyperpigmented macules, which can be confluent or punctate. Cheeks, upper lip, chin and forehead are more locations frequent, but occasionally can occur in areas exposed to sunlight. Chloasma is a synonymous term sometimes used to describe the occurrence of melasma during pregnancy. Chloasma chloazein derives from the Greek word meaning "to be green." Melas, also Greek, means "black." Since the pigmentation is never green in appearance, melasma is the preferred term. Pathophysiology The pathophysiology of melasma is uncertain. In many cases, a direct relationship with hormonal activity Women seem to be present, as occurs with pregnancy and the use of oral contraceptive pills. Other factors implicated in the pathogenesis of melasma are photosensitizing medicines, cosmetics mild ovarian or thyroid dysfunction, and certain. The most important factor in the development of melasma is exposure to sunlight. No avoidance strict sunlight, which could be successfully treated for melasma are doomed to failure. People of any race career may be affected. However, it is much more common in darker skin types that the Constitution of lighter skin types, and may be more common in light brown skin types, especially Hispanics and Asians, from areas of the world with intense sun exposure. Age Melasma is rare before puberty and most commonly occurs in women during their reproductive years.

Does anyone know how to get rid of melasma / chloasma?
While I was pregnant with my face became patchy and has not lightened at 7 MTHS after delivery. I have normal (not olive) skin.
Basically what it is is hyperpigmentation and luckily there are a lot of product for that. Acne also tends to cause it to be hyperpimentation looking for acne products to find the product you are looking for. Be proactive product was a bit hyper you might want to go to the store and look around for something cheaper. You should also use a toner cartridge.

How do I get rid of acne scars, melasma, black spots on my face?
I had melasma on my cheek for a few years and acne scars come from time to time. Without makeup, I do not feel that my skin is beautiful because I used to leave home without sunscreen. I did not know you should not go in the sun after using AHA products and skin clarifying agents to them, but that was then, now I know. I found some natural products I've heard are greatcalled 'Shea Butter and the other is pure Aloe vera leaves. Also vitamin C - Ester C cream, cream alpha lipoic acid and DMAE cream is said to work miracles on problem skin. Google this and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'll let you know how it goes and how long took me to see the results when the following entry please if you know any other cream best natural products that i mentioned above, let me know. I have the same problem ... I had acne, but when the points go, but leave red marks on her face sometimes weeks - and the places I've had a lot of points in the past bleached appearance and darker than the rest. I use clean and clear skinned or Neutrogena - both contain salicylic acid to prevent breakouts and gradually matches the skin tone out as well. Another suggestion is that you can get weed called "revival" L'oreal. Only used a few times a week (and the use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not only with color but also texture - Smooths out again. And my last suggestion is "pure cover 'mineral foundation. You see it in infomercials very sticky ... I know! But what really work. You can buy it on eBay too, so it's easy for you to get some to try. Use the smallest amount, but it does not settle into pores and contains minerals that reflect light, disguises himself as any kind of "healing" and it stops you get points because it does not block pores. The minerals that reflect light a little, which acts as a kind of spell. It's hard to explain, but it is fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush from the outside and what you do not end up with a more integrated nose! Hope this helps love - good luck XX

Itching, discoloration, and sometimes tingling around the mouth area?!?
Hi, im 15 and in grade 10. During my first year I was in the rig and meets all our meetings were held outside. The sun never bothered me. But last year I realized I had a ring of light visible around my mouth. I am African American so yeah it's pretty remarkable. I looked on Google and found it melasma that does the same. I put lemon juice around my mouth and went away in 2 weeks. But now I have again! But this time is itching, tingling, and seems to spread. I'm going to see a dermatologist on Monday, but I need something to help me NOW! PLEASE HELP ME IS VERY UGLY AND NOT AT ALL CUTE! SERIOUS REPLIES PLEASE ONLY! S / NI have no STDs or STIs. Im all healthy.
Melasma sounds like to me. But to see a dermatologist to be sure. Worry that will make it worse!
