The discoloration bad? PLEASE HELP !!!!?
I have come to this evil discoloration above my upperlip I can not seem to get rid of it. It makes me look as if a mustache is SOO embarrassing to have. I tried Meladerm lemon juice, and bleach. I know your hyperpigmentation caused by sun, but how the hell I can get you off my face. Someone please help me any advice given on any day is better than nothing. I was wondering if I have melasma or something.
Have tried all known home remedies you may want to check to see if you can get further clarification of the skin, makeup, or consider medical treatment with a laser. Avoid sunlight or cover when in the sun. Melasma usually occurs in those who are pregnant, are under hormonal treatment, have a hormonal, ovaries (estrogen, progesterone), pituitary imbalance thyroid, treatment to accelerate the disappearance of the discolored patches include: topical depigmenting agents such as hydroquinone (HQ), either over counter (2%) or prescription strength (4%). HQ is a chemical that inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the production of melanin.Tretinoin, an acid increases skin cell (keratinocyte) turnover. This treatment can not be used during pregnancy. Azelaic acid (20%), thought to decrease the activity of melanocytes. Facial peel with alpha hydroxy acids or glycolic acid chemical peels acid.Laser treatment. A Wood's lamp test should be used to determine whether the melasma is the epidermis or dermis. If the melasma is dermal, laser (or "IPL") acually darkens and worsen the appearance of the spots. dermal melasma is usually respond to most treaments, and has only been found to alleviate with products containing mandelic acid. In all these treatments the effects are gradual and a strict avoidance of sunlight is necessary. The use of broad-spectrum sunscreens with physical blockers like titanium dioxide and carbon dioxide zinc is preferable to that with only chemical blockers. This is because UV-A, UV-B and visible lights are able to stimulate pigment production.
