pigmentation melasma

pigmentation melasma

Melasma is a result of increased pigmentation in various areas of the body, which occurs mostly in the face, back of hands, forearms and shoulders. More women than men suffer occasional patches, and is often prevalent in Native American and German or Russian descent. These dark, irregular patches appear on the top of the cheeks, nose, lips, and between the nose and lips and the front of many people who arrive after that 40-year-old mark, and may take months or even years to develop.

Normal pigmentation of the skin develops in response to exposure to UV radiation or sunlight. When abnormal and irregular patches develop on the skin called melasma. And while melasma literally means dark skin (in Greek), and is best known as the mask "pregnancy" as it is more common among pregnant women, must not be pregnant (or even a woman!) for melasma. And if you think you are silently suffering alone, think again.

Melasma generally appears during the summer as a result of increased exposure Sun You can also get greater if, during sun exposure, use scented bath, deodorant soaps, or cosmetics. This is called a phototoxic reaction and is due to ultraviolet radiation is absorbed by chemical substance (perfume, cologne and other types of fragrance) on the skin. This pigmentation often extends to the sun-exposed areas of the neck.

Sometimes a mild chemical exfoliation of the skin may help melasma. The shells that are worth considering mild trichloroacetic acid (TCA), exfoliation or glycolic acid (such as 50-70% glycolic acid). These chemical peels should only be done by someone who is qualified and experienced in using them, as can sometimes have adverse reactions. Laser treatment is usually not recommended for melasma.

Dark spots. The melanin in the skin absorbs the sun's UV rays in order to screen the skin from excessive radiation exposure. Covering yourself with effective sunscreen SPF factors can help stop the infiltration of the rays of the skin. Any effective melasma treatments use sunscreens since even after the spots are erased, the victims need for protection in order to prevent recurrence.

Ultraviolet light treatment can sometimes stimulate the skin pigment that became in the skin again. However, it can sometimes burn the pale skin and if it fails, the tanning of the skin around a darker color and keeps skin pale pale so you can make areas of vitiligo most obvious. The new excimer laser treatment (which is not available on the NHS) can give ultraviolet light treatment that is better targeted to the pale skin only.

Melasma Prevention This seems like a quick and harmless procedure, but the truth is that these ingredients do much damage inside. When someone goes to the seashore or plays golf after you apply the bleaching of the elements of the skin, UV rays emitted by the sun will respond to changes in substances and increased pigmentation and premature appearance of fine lines. With the increased pigmentation changes, people does a little tense and apply more cream, it becomes an endless cycle.
